KLE Megha Health Checkup Camp

Shri Amitanna Prabhakar Kore Abhimani Balaga and KLE’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital Belagavi have arranged a Megha health checkup on 4th March 2024 from 9 am to 5 pm at Yellalingeshwar Matha, Mugalkhod.

People from nearby villages received benefits from various consultants at the camp. More than 81 patients received consultation from Dr. Suraj Kumbar and Dr. Santosh Shivannavar from KLE Society’s  Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Chikodi.  Along with the consultation, patients benefited with free medications.

Shri Amitanna Prabhakar Kore Abhimani Balaga and KLE’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital Belagavi have conducted a Megha health checkup camp for the needy on 25 Feb 2024 from 9 to 3 pm at KLE Society’s G. I. Bagewadi College, Nippani.

People from Akkol, Galataga, Bedikyal, Benadi, Khadaklat, Shiraguppi, etc benefited from various sectors such as Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, and Allopathy science.

More than 119 patients received consultation from different Physicians belonging to different departments namely Dr. Krishika M from Kayachikitsa, Dr. Bahubali Mahajan from Panchakarma, Dr. Anagha from Shalya Tantra, Dr. Shweta Mathapati from Stree Roga, Dr. Komal Jadhav from Dermatology, and Dr. Bhakti Bhoje for Hair care of KLE Ayurveda Hospital Chikodi. Patients were examined, given medications, and advised on do’s and don’ts considering diet and lifestyle.

Free Health Camp

KLE Ayurveda Hospital Chikodi conducted a “Free Health Camp” for parents of 1st to 8th grade school children of KLE School Chikodi on 24 Feb 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm at KLE School, Banantikodi Chikodi. Dr. Shweta Mathapati gave awareness regarding menstrual hygiene and proper methods of usage of sanitary pads to the school children and their parents. Dr. Ashwini Mahajan, Mrs. Ashwini Chougale, and Miss Sheetal Jadhav coordinated the camp.

The guest lecture on “Road Safety Awareness” was organized on 23 Jan 2024 from 3.30 pm to 5 pm at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi. The program was started with a general introduction by Dr. Bhakti Bhoje and the student Gandharva welcomed guest speaker Mr. Vishal G P sir with a bouquet. The introduction of the function was delivered by student Akshata. Mr. Vishal briefed about road safety rules, and data on the annual accident rate, showed videos regarding overtaking rules, and lane markings, enlightened with a message of “Just because you use the road, doesn’t mean you own it”, and also explained mandatory cautionary information.

An educational tour was arranged for the students of 1st BAMS 2023 batch to JNMC College, Anatomy museum and Pathology museum.

The tour began with visit to dissection hall. Students were oriented with various organs and body parts. Then they proceeded to Anatomy museum wherein all the specimens were arranged system-wise. Students interacted with the tutors and gained knowledge through various rare specimens and variations in anatomy.

The second half of the visit was at Pathology museum. Various pathological specimens were highlighted in the museum systematically. Students gained insight of the specimens in detail as the case history and findings of the specimen were kept recorded in files.

On the eve of Ratha sapthami 2024 Dept of Swasthavritta and Yoga has conducted 108 sun salutations by performing 9 rounds of Suryanamaskara in the college campus. All the students of 1st year BAMS, Teaching staff and non-teaching staff are participated. The speakers presented their importance of Rathasaptami and Suryanamaskara.

WHITE COAT CEREMONY, VALEDICTORY FUNCTION OF TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM & FRESHERS DAY OF 2023 BATCH

White coat ceremony, Valedictory function of Transitional Curriculum & Freshers Day of 2023 Batch was organized on 16/12/2023 from 2pm – 6pm at College Auditorium. The programme began with prayer song and introduction of guests. Chief guest for the event was Mr.P.G.Jadar, Vice-Principal & Dean, Shri.BMK Ayurved Mahavidyalay,Belagavi, and Guest of Honour was Dr.Sunil M B., Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi. Lamp lighting was done by dignitaries. Dr. Raviraj briefed about the importance of white coat ceremony. Students were instructed to adorn aprons by the Chief guest. Oath was taken by the students. Dr. Bhakti Bhoje presented the report on transitional curriculum. The guests addressed the students and wished them for a bright future. The programme  concluded by fresher’s party celebration which consisted of ramp walk, games and informal events.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 05/09/2023 by 1st BAMS 2022 students. The students presented their views about teachers and were grateful for their contribution to the society.

SWATCH BHARAT PAKWADA

Plastic free campus-

Removed plastic content (plastic bottle, bags, plastic covers etc )  from college campus, hostel, parking area and herbal garden on 15/05/2023.

SWAMI VIVEKANADA JAYANTI , NATIONAL YOUTH DAY AND

STUDENT COUNCIL OATH TAKING CEREMONY 2024-2025

The programme was organized on 12/01/2024 which began with general introduction and prayer song. Introduction of the function was given by students. Thereafter, faculty and council members watered the plants. Oath taking ceremony of the newly reconstituted student council for the year 2024-2025 was conducted. Miss.Gayatri briefed about the life of Swami Vivekanand. Students also sang patriotic song and narrated some motivational quotes. The Principal delivered the Presidential address focusing on power of youth of the nation. The function concluded by singing the national anthem.

SWACHATA PAKHWADA

The Swachata Pakhwada was conducted on 01/10/2023 from 10am -11am on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti for a clean and green campus. Teaching, non-teaching staff and students participated in cleaning garbage in and around college premises.

SINGING COMPETITON

A singing competition was arranged on 03/06/2023 from 3pm-5pm. Students sang songs of different genre with enthusiasm.

SHISHYOPANAYANA CEREMONY

Shishyopanayana was organized on 09/01/2024 from 6am-12pm for 1st BAMS 2022  and 2023 students. The auspicious ceremony of Shisyopanayana began with the Dhanwantari prayer followed by Swagatam done by Mr. Sudarshan Bhat. Thereafter, introduction of ceremony was given by Dr. Bhakti Bhoje. It was followed by Sankalpa and Dhanwantari Homa. Oath was taken by students and Sutrabandhanana was done by teachers. The ceremony was concluded by Purnahuti and Shanti mantra. Principal of the institute gave presedential remarks. Prasada distribution and photo session was conducted at the end o the event. All students religiously attended the ceremony.

SHRAVANOTSAVA

Students celebrated the Onam festival ‘Shravanotsava’ on 26/08/2023 from 12pm-6pm with great zeal and enthusiasm. Various cultural activities like singing and dancing were arranged along with games for students and staff.

REPORT ON TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM OF

The  Transitional Curriculum was planned as per the guidelines of NCISM. It began with the induction programme on 7/11/2023 . It included parent teacher interactions along with a session on anti ragging.

Thereafter onwards,  Students learnt the Dhanwantari prayer and were given orientation about institutuional officials and their roles.

A pretest comprising few questions was taken before the commencement of transitional curriculum.

Know your campus and know your hospital  sessions helped the students to get acquainted with the  learning environment.

A session on various medical systems and their importance was also conducted.

Being a well organised institution who  takes a lot of pride in overall development of students in a disciplined manner, a session was conducted regarding rules and regulations.

Everyday, continuous session on Vadatu Sanskritam was carried out  to expose students with the linguistic beauty of Sanskrit language.

Pertaining to Current lifestyle,  yoga sessions were taken for students.

Students were engaged in Recreational activities like talent hunt, indoor and outdoor games

Students also celebrated national ayurveda day on 10th November during the course of transitional curriculum.

Know your syllabus sessions for every subject were also undertaken.

Lectures on basic principles of Ayurveda were also arranged.

Orientation regarding personal health and hygiene, national health policies were also given.

Since technology is the need of the hour, basic computer skills sessions were also arranged for students.

Formal introduction of regulatory and governing bodies was also given to the students.

Introductory lectures about Panchkarma and Shalyatantra i.e surgery  were also conducted. Awareness about body donation, organ donation and its importance was also given.

To succeed in life , one needs to fix  goals. In this regards, a session on goal setting and time management was also given.

A session on basic life support and its importance was also conducted.

A post test was carried out after all the sessions.The transitional curriculum concluded on 2/12/2023.

RANGOLI COMPETITION- 8th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

A Rangoli competition was held for students of 1st BAMS on 19/10/2023 from 3pm-5pm.The participants showcased their talent by drawing rangolis related to the theme ‘Ayurveda for One Health’

School Herbal Garden plantation

Today (on 30-12-2023)  institution  completed herbal garden plantation & distribution of Rutucharya charts and books of herbal plants, stickers & created herbal plantation awareness with MDRS school students and staff at Murarji Desai Residential School Shiragon Tq: Chikkodi. Dist: Belagavi.

NO TOBACCO AWARENESS LECTURE

No Tobacco Awareness lecture was conducted on 29/09/2023 from 12pm-1pm by Dr. Komal Jadhav – PG Scholar, Dept of Agada Tantra signified  the importance of no tobacco use, its harmful effects and legal aspects to students.

NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH/POSHANA MAAH

The student council conducted the National Nutrition Month/Poshana Maah on 15/09/2023 from 2pm-5pm by celebrating activities like recipe competition, essay writing and nutritional food items exhibition. The importance of a balanced diet was highlighted through these events.

NATIONAL EYE DONATION AWARENESS FORTNIGHT

On the occasion of National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, a guest lecture was organized on 25/08/2023 from 2pm-3pm for 1st BAMS 2022 batch students. Dr.Ashwini Kumbar explained the basic anatomy of eye along with eye donation criteria and do’s and dont’s of eye donation.

A poster competition regarding the theme was arranged on 02/09/2023 from 3pm-4pm. The students presented e-posters on importance of eye donation and criteria and do’s and dont’s of eye donation.

MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

A drawing competition was organized on account of Mothers’ Day on 20/05/2023 from 3pm-5pm.

1st BAMS 2022 students expressed their opinion on importance of mothers in their lives. Dr.Bhakti Bhoje also delivered a speech regarding the same.

Students were welcomed by everyone and the guests also motivated them to pursue their dreams. The President of the function spoke about the importance of Ayurveda and assured the parents a bright future for their children. 77th Independence day was celebrated with great pride and honor on 15/08/2023 from 8am onwards. Flag hoisting and various cultural events like patriotic songs, speech and musical skit were conducted with great enthusiasm.

An educational visit for 1st BAMS 2022 batch  was organized by  Rachana Sharir Department on 07/07/2023 to JNMC College- Anatomy and Pathology museum. Along with visit to BMK Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Belagavi. Students got an opportunity to observe various specimens in the museums and their clinical importance.

DOCTORS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2023

Doctors’ Day was celebrated at the Institute on 01/07/2023 from 2pm-5pm at College Auditorium. The programme commenced with welcoming and lamp lighting. Chief guest Dr. Dhiraj Pol, Chief Medical Officer, KLE Ayurveda Hospital, Chikodi addressed and motivated the students. Students shared their thoughts about Doctor’s day. A skit was presented on the life of doctors. Thereafter, a quiz competition was conducted fot the students of 1st BAMS. The event concluded with Presidential remarks and a token of appreciation for the faculty members.

DEBATE COMPETITION – 8TH NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

A debate competition was conducted on 18/10/2023 on account National Ayurveda Day celebrations.

The participants expressed their views for and against the topic- “Technology in Ayurveda- Boon or Curse?”.

Both the teams spoke enthusiastically about various areas related to Ayurveda and technology.

BOOKS EXHIBITION -2024

A Library books Exhibition was organized on 02/01/2024 from 10am – 12pm at College Library. Principal Dr. Kiran Mutnali inaugurated the exhibition. Photo puja of S.R. Ranganathan was performed. Book distributors from Kolhapur and Belagavi were present for book exhibition. Students of 1st BAMS  enquired about various subjects, related authors and purchased books.

AYURYATRA’-8th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

‘AyurYatra’, Ayurveda Day Rally was arranged on the occasion of 8th National Ayurveda Day on 10th November 2023, 11am-1pm from college to Ambedkar circle, Chikodi to create awareness about Ayurveda. Post rally, Dhanwantari Pujan was performed. A report on Ayurveda day activities was also presented. A short video about importance of Dinacharya was made by students. Newly admitted students narrated the Samudra-manthana story of Lord Dhanwantari. The function concluded with Principal Sir’s remarks and vote of thanks.

8th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY- GUEST LECTURE

On the occasion of 8th National Ayurveda Day, a guest lecture for  students of Kle Institute of Nursing Sciences was arranged on 31/10/2023 from 2pm-4pm. Another guest lecture for students of C.B.Kore Polytechnic college was also arranges on 04/11/2023 from 10am-11am

Dr.B.B. Desai and Dr Raviraj K explained about Ayurveda, Dinachayra, Rutucharya, Ahara ,Organs and their functions. They also conducted Herbal garden visit and Kitchen Ayurveda session.

Induction Programme was conducted on 16.03.2023. Mr. Madhav Gitte IAS Asstitant Commisioner & Sub divisional Magistrate, Chikodi was the Chief Guest and Dr Vitthal shinde THO, Chikodi was Guest of Honour graced the occasion. Dr P.G. Jadar Dean of Ayurveda KAHER & Vice Prinicpal of Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi was conducted oath taking Ceremony for 1st Prof BAMS Students and the function was presided by Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Hon. Transitional Curriculum

As per NCISM Guidelines, the Transitional Curriculum for 1st Professional BAMS Students commenced from 9th March 2023 to 28th March 2023 with various Guest Lecturers, Vadatu Sanskrit, Motivational Speech & other Activities.

Valedictory Programme was conducted on 28.03.2023. Dr Suhas Kumar Shetty, Principal & Medical Director, KAHER’s Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi was Chief Guest of the event and he explained about importance of white coat and Doctors in the society.
