Nadi Pareeksha Workshop

Dr. Usha rani Sanu M.D.(Ay.), Ph.D. (Ay.) Associate Professor, Department of Kriya Sharir, KAHER Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belgavi, presented one session on method of Nadi pareeksha and in the second session she demonstrated method of Nadi pareeksha with Nadi Tarangini Instrument and other simple methods of Nadi pareeksha for Students

World Population Day-2024 Awareness Rally

Awareness rally was organised by the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga on the eve of World Population Day-2024 with the theme of this year’s World Population Day “Leave no one behind, count everyone.” Students of 1^st BAMS 2023 Batch and KLE Nursing Institute Students of Chikodi and Teaching Faculty both the institutes were participated in the rally. Students spread the awareness about World Population Day with displaying various placards on family planning, small family, impact of population explosion etc. and saying slogans throughout the streets of Chikodi city and market area and human Circle was created to sensitize the mob by joining hands together for population control at Basava Circle Chikodi; rally was inaugurated by flagging by the KLE AMC Principal Dr Kirankumar Mutnali.

10^th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA-2024

10^th International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21^st June by the Dept of Swasthavritta and Yoga; Common Yoga Protocol was Practiced by the participants and various outreach activities like Yoga Sessions for working Women’s, Schools, College  and essay competition, Slogan writing competitions  for students were conducted by the Departments. And on that day morning yoga was done by all the Teaching, non teaching staff and  students of both KLE Ayurveda medical college and KLE C.B Kore Polytechnic Chikodi.

National Doctor’s Day-July 2024

Doctor’s day was celebrated in the college auditorium on 1^stJuly at 2pm to 5 pm .The chief guest of the program was Dr. Sukumar Bhagai (THO) Chikodi, President principal Dr. Kirankumar Mutnali and also other Staffs and Students graced the program. Quiz competition, showcase of gratitude by institute & students to the doctor’s was highlight of the program.

Guest Lecture on Human Values and Meditation techniques

Mokshaatmanandaji Swamiji of Ramakrishna Mission Belagavi delivered a guest lecture at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi on the topic of Human Values and Meditation techniquesfor the 1^st year BAMS students. Swamiji explained the importance of concentration and its benefits in acquiring the knowledge and also briefed regarding the various steps of meditation, along with demonstration.

Women Welfare cell

The women Welfare Cell conducted a guest lecture on Women rights and responsibilities by Mrs. Deepali Patil BA.LLM (Assistant Professor) KLE SOCIETY’S LAW College Chikodi and also conducted other activities for teaching and non teaching women staff of the institute.

Institutional visit and interaction program with Dr. B Sreenivasa Prasad Sir, President Board of Ayurveda, NCISM New Delhi

Institutional visit and the interaction program was scheduled with Dr. B Sreenivasa Prasad sir on 14/6/2024 from 1pm to 5pm at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi. Students and faculty members interacted with sir and discussed various doubts regarding MES, NTET, and the new regulations of NCISM. The institutional newsletter PRAGATI was launched, which highlights the curricular and extracurricular activities of the institution. In the hospital section, sir has inaugurated specialty OPDs namely Prabha for Cosmetic & Trichology, Sandhivata for Arthritis, and Utsaha for Metabolic disorders.

Guest Lecture on the Importance of landmarks & Surface anatomy in clinical practices

A guest lecture by Dr. R.V. Pakannavar was organized by the Department of Rachana Sharir on 07/06/2024 in the College Auditorium from 11am-1pm. The program commenced with a general welcome and introduction of the chief guest. Sir addressed the Importance of landmarks & Surface anatomy in clinical practices.

World Environment Day

On the eve of “WORLD ENVIRONMENT DA 2024” with the theme of Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience under the slogan Our Land, Our Future an awareness program was conducted by the Department of Dravya Guna Vigyana.

Drawing and Best out-of-waste competitions were conducted, Plantation was done, and  Mr. Prashant, Range Forest Office, Chikodi delivered a speech to create awareness regarding the same.  Mr. Shrishail also attended the function.

Cultural Programme-DWANI 2024

Cultural events were conducted from 26^th March to 28^th March 2024 at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi under the leadership of Principal Dr. Kirankumar Mutnali and Cultural Coordinators Dr. Sujata Bharamoji and Mr. Sudharshan Bhat. All four groups of students actively participated in various competitions such as Dance, Singing, a Cinematic act, Standup comedy, Food fest, Face painting, Quiz, and Photography. The program ended with prize distribution in the presence of the guest Mr. Suraj.

Orientation Programme on WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2024

On the occasion of “WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2024”, the institute organized an orientation program by Dr. Neha Rokhade, Assistant Professor Department of Agada Tantra for the students and the staff. Madam has oriented regarding the WHO theme of  WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2024- Preventing Children from Tobacco Industry Interference, incidence, harmful effects, measures for prevention & to overcome the ill effects of tobacco consumption.

Guest Lecture on  ” Astavidha Ahara Vidhi Visheshayatana”

Guest Lecture by Professor Emeritus Dr. U. K Krishna, Director, Nippon Ayurveda School in Tokyo, Japan

Eminent Ayurveda Person, Professor Emeritus, Dr. U. K Krishna, Director, Nippon Ayurveda School in Tokyo, Japan had visited KLE Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, CHIKODI  on 31.05.2023. sir addressed the first-Proff BAMS students on the practical application of ” Astavidha Ahara Vidhi Visheshayatana” as well as the current phase of Ayurveda, its increasing scientific relevance, growing interest of the world towards Ayurveda at the global level. Ayurveda students attended the session with keen interest, sir described the uniqueness of Ayurveda from the rest of the contemporary medical sciences and also stressed the responsibility of Ayurvedic Physicians they not only take care of the health of the people around but also take care of their health so that they become the torchbearers of the Ayurveda to the world.

8^th National Level Samvada

8th National Level Samvada was conducted by KLE Shri B M Kankanawadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Belagavi  on 14^th March 2024 on the topic  “Dasha Vidha Pareekshitavya– Only Dashavidha Pareekshya to be examined in patients” from the department of Basic principles for the intercollege scientific debate on the lines of Charakokta Vadamarga.  Students and teaching faculty of KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi attended the Sambavada through virtual mode.

World Kidney Day

World Kidney Day was celebrated on 14^th March 2024 at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi. Guest lecture was organized from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm by various teaching faculties. Delivered lecture regarding basics, functioning, pathology, treatment aspects, drugs used, yoga for kidney health.

Road Safety Awareness

The guest lecture on “Road Safety Awareness” was organized on 23 Jan 2024 from 3.30 pm to 5 pm at KLE Ayurveda Medical College Chikodi. The program was started with a general introduction by Dr. Bhakti Bhoje and the student Gandharva welcomed guest speaker Mr. Vishal G P sir with a bouquet. The introduction of the function was delivered by student Akshata. Mr. Vishal briefed about road safety rules, and data on the annual accident rate, showed videos regarding overtaking rules, and lane markings, enlightened with a message of “Just because you use the road, doesn’t mean you own it”, and also explained mandatory cautionary information.

Republic Day

The program scheduled in the college ground at 8.45 am. The program started with a parade; flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem. The head of the Institution delivered a motivational speech to the gathering. The program was been scheduled with many speakers and cultural programs by students.

WHITE COAT CEREMONY, VALEDICTORY FUNCTION OF TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM & FRESHERS DAY OF 2023 BATCH

White coat ceremony, Valedictory function of Transitional Curriculum & Freshers Day of 2023 Batch was organized on 16/12/2023 from 2pm – 6pm at College Auditorium. The programme began with prayer song and introduction of guests. Chief guest for the event was Mr.P.G.Jadar, Vice-Principal & Dean, Shri.BMK Ayurved Mahavidyalay,Belagavi, and Guest of Honour was Dr.Sunil M B., Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi. Lamp lighting was done by dignitaries. Dr. Raviraj briefed about the importance of white coat ceremony. Students were instructed to adorn aprons by the Chief guest. Oath was taken by the students. Dr. Bhakti Bhoje presented the report on transitional curriculum. The guests addressed the students and wished them for a bright future. The programme  concluded by fresher’s party celebration which consisted of ramp walk, games and informal events.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 05/09/2023 by 1^st BAMS 2022 students. The students presented their views about teachers and were grateful for their contribution to the society.

SWATCH BHARAT PAKWADA

Plastic free campus-

Removed plastic content (plastic bottle, bags, plastic covers etc )  from college campus, hostel, parking area and herbal garden on 15/05/2023.

SWAMI VIVEKANADA JAYANTI , NATIONAL YOUTH DAY AND

STUDENT COUNCIL OATH TAKING CEREMONY 2024-2025

The programme was organized on 12/01/2024 which began with general introduction and prayer song. Introduction of the function was given by students. Thereafter, faculty and council members watered the plants. Oath taking ceremony of the newly reconstituted student council for the year 2024-2025 was conducted. Miss.Gayatri briefed about the life of Swami Vivekanand. Students also sang patriotic song and narrated some motivational quotes. The Principal delivered the Presidential address focusing on power of youth of the nation. The function concluded by singing the national anthem.

SWACHATA PAKHWADA

The Swachata Pakhwada was conducted on 01/10/2023 from 10am -11am on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti for a clean and green campus. Teaching, non-teaching staff and students participated in cleaning garbage in and around college premises.

SINGING COMPETITON

A singing competition was arranged on 03/06/2023 from 3pm-5pm. Students sang songs of different genre with enthusiasm.

SHISHYOPANAYANA CEREMONY

Shishyopanayana was organized on 09/01/2024 from 6am-12pm for 1^st BAMS 2022  and 2023 students. The auspicious ceremony of Shisyopanayana began with the Dhanwantari prayer followed by Swagatam done by Mr. Sudarshan Bhat. Thereafter, introduction of ceremony was given by Dr. Bhakti Bhoje. It was followed by Sankalpa and Dhanwantari Homa. Oath was taken by students and Sutrabandhanana was done by teachers. The ceremony was concluded by Purnahuti and Shanti mantra. Principal of the institute gave presedential remarks. Prasada distribution and photo session was conducted at the end o the event. All students religiously attended the ceremony.

SHRAVANOTSAVA

Students celebrated the Onam festival ‘Shravanotsava’ on 26/08/2023 from 12pm-6pm with great zeal and enthusiasm. Various cultural activities like singing and dancing were arranged along with games for students and staff.

REPORT ON TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM OF

The  Transitional Curriculum was planned as per the guidelines of NCISM. It began with the induction programme on 7/11/2023 . It included parent teacher interactions along with a session on anti ragging.

Thereafter onwards,  Students learnt the Dhanwantari prayer and were given orientation about institutuional officials and their roles.

A pretest comprising few questions was taken before the commencement of transitional curriculum.

Know your campus and know your hospital  sessions helped the students to get acquainted with the  learning environment.

A session on various medical systems and their importance was also conducted.

Being a well organised institution who  takes a lot of pride in overall development of students in a disciplined manner, a session was conducted regarding rules and regulations.

Everyday, continuous session on Vadatu Sanskritam was carried out  to expose students with the linguistic beauty of Sanskrit language.

Pertaining to Current lifestyle,  yoga sessions were taken for students.

Students were engaged in Recreational activities like talent hunt, indoor and outdoor games

Students also celebrated national ayurveda day on 10^th November during the course of transitional curriculum.

Know your syllabus sessions for every subject were also undertaken.

Lectures on basic principles of Ayurveda were also arranged.

Orientation regarding personal health and hygiene, national health policies were also given.

Since technology is the need of the hour, basic computer skills sessions were also arranged for students.

Formal introduction of regulatory and governing bodies was also given to the students.

Introductory lectures about Panchkarma and Shalyatantra i.e surgery  were also conducted. Awareness about body donation, organ donation and its importance was also given.

To succeed in life , one needs to fix  goals. In this regards, a session on goal setting and time management was also given.

A session on basic life support and its importance was also conducted.

A post test was carried out after all the sessions.The transitional curriculum concluded on 2/12/2023.

RANGOLI COMPETITION- 8^th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

A Rangoli competition was held for students of 1^st BAMS on 19/10/2023 from 3pm-5pm.The participants showcased their talent by drawing rangolis related to the theme ‘Ayurveda for One Health’

POSTER COMPETITION – 8^th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

School Herbal Garden plantation

Today (on 30-12-2023)  institution  completed herbal garden plantation & distribution of Rutucharya charts and books of herbal plants, stickers & created herbal plantation awareness with MDRS school students and staff at Murarji Desai Residential School Shiragon Tq: Chikkodi. Dist: Belagavi.

NO TOBACCO AWARENESS LECTURE

No Tobacco Awareness lecture was conducted on 29/09/2023 from 12pm-1pm by Dr. Komal Jadhav – PG Scholar, Dept of Agada Tantra signified  the importance of no tobacco use, its harmful effects and legal aspects to students.

NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH/POSHANA MAAH

The student council conducted the National Nutrition Month/Poshana Maah on 15/09/2023 from 2pm-5pm by celebrating activities like recipe competition, essay writing and nutritional food items exhibition. The importance of a balanced diet was highlighted through these events.

NATIONAL EYE DONATION AWARENESS FORTNIGHT

On the occasion of National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight, a guest lecture was organized on 25/08/2023 from 2pm-3pm for 1^st BAMS 2022 batch students. Dr.Ashwini Kumbar explained the basic anatomy of eye along with eye donation criteria and do’s and dont’s of eye donation.

A poster competition regarding the theme was arranged on 02/09/2023 from 3pm-4pm. The students presented e-posters on importance of eye donation and criteria and do’s and dont’s of eye donation.

MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

A drawing competition was organized on account of Mothers’ Day on 20/05/2023 from 3pm-5pm.

1^st BAMS 2022 students expressed their opinion on importance of mothers in their lives. Dr.Bhakti Bhoje also delivered a speech regarding the same.

On the occasion of induction program for 2023 batch on 07/11/2023, dignitaries were invited to grace the occasion. Students were welcomed by everyone and the guests also motivated them to pursue their dreams. Chief Guest was Dr. Prasad Rampure Sir and Guest of Honour was Prof.Darshan Billur, Principal, C,B.Kore Polytechnic College. The President of the function spoke about the importance of Ayurveda and assured the parents a bright future for their children. The program concluded with a session on anti-ragging and parent-teacher meeting.

77^TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

77^th Independence day was celebrated with great pride and honor on 15/08/2023 from 8am onwards. Flag hoisting and various cultural events like patriotic songs, speech and musical skit were conducted with great enthusiasm.

EDUCATIONAL VISIT -2022 BATCH

An educational visit for 1^st BAMS 2022 batch  was organized by  Rachana Sharir Department on 07/07/2023 to JNMC College- Anatomy and Pathology museum. Along with visit to BMK Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Belagavi. Students got an opportunity to observe various specimens in the museums and their clinical importance.

DOCTORS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2023

Doctors’ Day was celebrated at the Institute on 01/07/2023 from 2pm-5pm at College Auditorium. The programme commenced with welcoming and lamp lighting. Chief guest Dr. Dhiraj Pol, Chief Medical Officer, KLE Ayurveda Hospital, Chikodi addressed and motivated the students. Students shared their thoughts about Doctor’s day. A skit was presented on the life of doctors. Thereafter, a quiz competition was conducted fot the students of 1^st BAMS. The event concluded with Presidential remarks and a token of appreciation for the faculty members.

DEBATE COMPETITION – 8TH NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

A debate competition was conducted on 18/10/2023 on account National Ayurveda Day celebrations.

The participants expressed their views for and against the topic- “Technology in Ayurveda- Boon or Curse?”.

Both the teams spoke enthusiastically about various areas related to Ayurveda and technology.

BOOKS EXHIBITION -2024

A Library books Exhibition was organized on 02/01/2024 from 10am – 12pm at College Library. Principal Dr. Kiran Mutnali inaugurated the exhibition. Photo puja of S.R. Ranganathan was performed. Book distributors from Kolhapur and Belagavi were present for book exhibition. Students of 1^st BAMS  enquired about various subjects, related authors and purchased books.

‘AYURYATRA’-8^th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY

‘AyurYatra’, Ayurveda Day Rally was arranged on the occasion of 8^th National Ayurveda Day on 10^th November 2023, 11am-1pm from college to Ambedkar circle, Chikodi to create awareness about Ayurveda. Post rally, Dhanwantari Pujan was performed. A report on Ayurveda day activities was also presented. A short video about importance of Dinacharya was made by students. Newly admitted students narrated the Samudra-manthana story of Lord Dhanwantari. The function concluded with Principal Sir’s remarks and vote of thanks.

8^th NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY- GUEST LECTURE

On the occasion of 8^th National Ayurveda Day, a guest lecture for  students of Kle Institute of Nursing Sciences was arranged on 31/10/2023 from 2pm-4pm. Another guest lecture for students of C.B.Kore Polytechnic college was also arranges on 04/11/2023 from 10am-11am

Dr.B.B. Desai and Dr Raviraj K explained about Ayurveda, Dinachayra, Rutucharya, Ahara ,Organs and their functions. They also conducted Herbal garden visit and Kitchen Ayurveda session.

Basic cadevaric dissection event was organised on 20-4-2023.Dr M.B Ramannavar HOD Dept of Shareer rachana SBMK Ayurveda mahavidyalaya belagavi was the Resource person. Sir also delivered awareness talk on body and organ donation for 1st professional Students.

Induction Programme of First Batch-2022 to First Professional B.A.M.S. Course

Induction Programme was conducted on 16.03.2023. Mr. Madhav Gitte IAS Asstitant Commisioner & Sub divisional Magistrate, Chikodi was the Chief Guest and Dr Vitthal shinde THO, Chikodi was Guest of Honour graced the occasion. Dr P.G. Jadar Dean of Ayurveda KAHER & Vice Prinicpal of Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi was conducted oath taking Ceremony for 1st Prof BAMS Students and the function was presided by Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Hon. Chancellor, KAHER, Belagavi and Chairman, KLE Society, Belagavi.

Transitional Curriculum

As per NCISM Guidelines, the Transitional Curriculum for 1st Professional BAMS Students commenced from 9th March 2023 to 28th March 2023 with various Guest Lecturers, Vadatu Sanskrit, Motivational Speech & other Activities.

Valedictory Programme of Transitional Curriculum and White Coat Ceremony

Valedictory Programme was conducted on 28.03.2023. Dr Suhas Kumar Shetty, Principal & Medical Director, KAHER’s Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi was Chief Guest of the event and he explained about importance of white coat and Doctors in the society. The white coats (Aprons) were distributed to students. The function was presided by Dr. Kirankumar Mutnali, Principal & Medical Director, KLE Ayurveda Medical College, Chikodi.
